Brandon Barber, known as Pavel Barber, or as Hey, Barber! by his followers on social media, is one of the most experienced players in the roster of Team Canada at the #WFC2022. Although his Canada didn’t make it to the Quarters of this World Championship, Brandon and his teammates have been enjoying the journey.

“What amazes me the most in Floorball is the fact that it is a very fast-paced game. With my teammates, we have a lot of fun when we come to these tours. Scoring goals, of course, is one of my favourite things to do, but just playing the game as well is amazing.”

Barber, who has always been passionate about understanding skills deeply, is famous for being a stickhandling and shootout specialist, and for sure all Floorball fans can learn a lot
from him.

“The biggest difference between Ice hockey and Floorball is probably that the ball is so light, the stick is so light. Not being able to stick left changes the game. Very fast-paced and skilled sport, especially defensively.”

Brandon first saw Floorball was in a video, back in 2003. And it turned out to be a love at first sight.

“I was blown away because I was wondering how the ball stayed glued. And I fall in love with it!”
