The record champs from Sweden down the Czech Republic 9:3 to lift their 10th Men’s World Floorball Championship trophy in front of a frenetic crowd in Zurich, Switzerland.

It was a pure demonstration of power from the Swedish side in the long-awaited gold medal game of the 2022 Men’s Floorball World Championships in front of over 11,000 spectators at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Swedes stomped into this gold medal game and took a 4:0 lead after the first period. The Swedish goal fest was opened by the Blågult youngster and eventual Player of the Match Malte Lundmark, who celebrated his WFC debut at this year’s edition, after 7 minutes. The Czech, who had brought the record champs to the edge of a defeat in the group stage, were not able to find into their rhythm at all. The Swedish squad, on the other hand, were cold-blooded in front of the Czech goal turning almost every second shot on target into a goal making the Czech pay for every single mistake.

As a consequence, the climax of the #WFC2022 turned into a pure gala for Niklas Norden’s men. In the end, the reigning World Champs from Sweden booked a strong 9:3 win in the gold medal game to add the 10th World Floorball Championships title to their tally.
