Thailand has announced its roster for the World Floorball Championships 2022 in Switzerland. Fifteen players are already playing their second or even third WFC together, which is why the Asians can count on a well-rehearsed team.
Of the 20 players called up, 15 have already played two or three WFCs together. The Thai team can also count on four multi-talented players who not only have experience as WFC players, but also as coaches or assistant coaches. Whatcharapon Onsuk has a special role to play. The 32-year-old will not only be on the field as a forward but will also serve as an assistant coach. At the last WFC in Helsinki, he was already on the sidelines as an assistant, but left the playing to his teammates. At the Asia Oceania Cup, he also acted as head coach of the Thai team. Four players are appearing on the big international stage of a World Floorball Championship for the first time. Among them is the 17-year-old Lukas Phraiwan, who will be wearing the jersey of the Thai national team for the first time.
